I recently got into pipe smoking, and I have enjoyed it a lot. There is a certain amount of peace and mindfulness about it that I really enjoy.

So I felt it was time to get another pipe — and some more pipe tobacco 😃

The pipe

I got a Lorenzo Mini pipe, and it really is mini. It’s about 10 cm long and 3 cm wide. The bowl is 3 cm deep and 1.7 cm wide. The stem is not removable, at least it doesn’t seem so… The stem is removable, and there is a small metal filter inside — see photo below.

I’m pretty new in the pipe smoking game, so I haven’t developed a preference yet. I’m just exploring — trying to figure out what I like. I recently started taking my lunch breaks outside, and figured a small pipe was perfect for that occasion. I’ll revisit this in a future blog post, when I have had time to try it out.

Tobacco

Samuel Gawith Firedance Flake

Brown 6″ Flake subtly flavoured with a combination of Blackberry, Brandy and Vanilla. The smoke is a mild, cool experience. The Blackberry is the predominant flavour with the Brandy in the background. Rounded off with Vanilla. A mild and fruity smoke with the strength of Best Brown. A very pleasing room aroma. — The Pipe Shop

Samuel Gawith Black Cherry

Rich Black Cavendish mixed together with a generous amount of Sweet Cherry. This tobacco has a room note second to none. With satisfaction for both the smoker and the surrounding company, this is a “must” for lovers of aromatics. — The Pipe Shop

I have tried this one, and it smells and tastes amazing 😃
